OMM Works

In the main hall of OMM, you can find a work designed specifically for OMM by the Japanese bamboo artist Tanabe Chikuunsai IV. Chikuunsai IV learned the art of bamboo from his father, who was also his master. For this work, he used a type of bamboo known as “tiger bamboo,” found only in a specific mountain region in Kochi, Japan. In this piece, he cites the four elements of nature, portraying the fifth element as emptiness.
The backbone of OMM consists of collections belonging to Erol Tabanca and İdil Tabanca. Under the OMM roof, not only can you find modern and contemporary art pieces from after the 1950s, but also selections from the collections featuring works by contemporary designers.
OMM aims to offer a dynamic and multifaceted perspective. In addition to its collections, it also hosts temporary exhibitions showcasing works by national and international artists.
